“Blessing Bags” to Help the Homeless

At just 12-years-old, Jahkil Jackson runs an organization that creates and distributes “blessing bags” full of hygiene products to Chicago’s homeless community. This video explains how this young changemaker is encouraging others his age to not “wait to be great.”

Using Jahkil’s work as an inspiration, the lesson “Don’t Wait to Be Great” teaches students the importance of volunteering and helping in their communities.
